Dvar Halacha On Parshat Shemos 12 30 2012

When Moshe Rabbeinu leaves Yisroel’s home, Yisro tells him, “Go to peace.” The Gemara in Brochos learns from here a halachah that when departing, one should say “Go to peace,” rather than “Go in peace.” One of the explanations is that the journey itself may not be peaceful, but one will always find peace at his final destination.
