In this week’s Parsha, we find that after Yehudah married off his first two sons to Tamar, he refused to let her marry the third. The reason he gave was, “Lest he also die like his brothers.” From here Chaza”l learn that if a woman’s first two husbands die, one should not marry her as her third husband, out of concern that she is the cause of their passing. As always, if this situation comes up, one should consult their local Rav.
