Praying Slowly and Clearly

Derech Chaim states, “When a person has enough time to say all the prayers clearly and slowly, he can concentrate; but when he doesn’t allot himself that much time, or he doesn’t say them patiently but with haste, he cannot concentrate. And if I wouldn’t be afraid, I would say that the amount of time people allot when they pray together in a minyan in our times is not enough to allow them to concentrate.”
